What the license includes

A USD $6.99 early-access purchase is planned to cover one person’s use on up to 3 Macs, for the purchased major version and its maintenance releases. It is a one-time purchase. A future paid major upgrade is optional. You may keep using the purchased version, subject to compatible hardware and macOS.

The first paid release and the preceding 0.8 early-access builds share the version 1 entitlement. A license may not be publicly shared, resold or used to activate Macs for unrelated users.

Try before buying

The trial lasts 14 days, starting when the live desktop effect first works. No card is required and there is no automatic charge. If it expires before checkout opens, the effect is disabled until a license can be purchased and activated. Check compatibility and known limits on your own Mac. Unsupported hardware does not become supported by purchasing.

Early-access distribution

The current build is ad-hoc signed and has not been notarized by Apple. macOS may block its first launch and ask you to approve it manually. Updates may require approval and Screen Recording permission again. Read the installation guide and confirm it works before purchasing.

Refunds

We plan to offer a full refund if requested within 14 days of purchase. The support contact and checkout receipt will explain how to request it. Refunds may revoke the associated license. This policy does not limit mandatory consumer rights or the payment provider’s own obligations.

Activation and updates

An internet connection is required to activate or deactivate a Mac. An already verified purchase continues to work during temporary license-service outages. Confirmed revoked or refunded licenses may be disabled. Updates are manually downloaded in the first release.

What the app does

MacParallax is a visual and audio convenience app. It is not a security lock, a screen-sharing privacy filter or a guarantee of physically fixed imagery. Future macOS changes may affect compatibility. We do not promise support for every Mac or every future OS version.

Third-party services

When enabled, purchases will be handled through Lemon Squeezy’s hosted checkout. The final checkout price and applicable taxes are displayed there. No payment is collected on this site today.
